L1 Teaching Assistant

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our skilled and friendly team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning, and contributing to a positive school environment where every child can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality in‑class support to a student with SEN needs, or groups of students.
  • Work alongside teachers to help deliver engaging, accessible lessons.
  • Support students’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Contribute to the creation of an inclusive, respectful and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with small‑group interventions or one‑to‑one support where required.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals to ensure strong, holistic support for students.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Are patient, adaptable, caring and committed to helping students thrive.
  • Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
  • Are organised, proactive and willing to learn.
  • Are supportive of the school’s Jewish ethos (you do not need to be Jewish to apply).
