Highest percentage of students achieving GCSE pass grades 9-4 in English and Maths across Leeds schools
LJFS students, families and leaders were delighted that after last year’s strong GCSE results the school has again enjoyed another strong year in 2019, topping the table in Leeds for GCSE passes in both English and Maths.
Executive Head, Susy Jagger said “We’re so proud of our amazing students who got the GCSE’s they deserved after all the work they put in, supported by our first class teachers.
We’re really pleased with our second set of GCSE results – our students achieved the grades we expected, with some beating their predicted grades and many exceeding their government grade targets.”
Chair of Governors Cllr Dan Cohen said “In just our second set of GCSE results, we have continued to show that our High School can hold its own against any and all of the schools here in Leeds. Our students and staff deserve real praise for these strong results. Coming top of the Leeds Table for GCSE passes in English and Maths is something to be really proud of – and we most certainly are.”
LJFS Parent Debbie Cohen said “A Jewish High School was a dream for me and my husband as kids. So when the opportunity arose to send our daughter to LJFS we did not hesitate. Tasha started in September 2014, when the school was in its infancy. She has now moved on to Harrogate Grammar 6th form, who LJFS are partnered with, having attained 9, superb, GCSEs. Of course as parents we are extremely proud of her achievements. But this would not have been possible without the exceptionally high level of teaching and pastoral care at the school that have ensured she has not just achieved educationally, but has grown into the most wonderful, confident, well-rounded, young lady. We are so lucky to have this amazing school right at the heart of our community.
