Lord Mayor’s visit to LJFS February 2023

An amazing week in school culminating today in a visit from the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Leeds, and Leeds Council Cabinet members Cllr Fiona Venner and Cllr Jonathan Pryor.  The student council met and chatted with the Lord and Lady Mayoress before taking them on a tour around the school.  Our students made us incredibly proud of them and showed LJFS off wonderfully. The Lord and Lady Mayoress made a number of kind comments- ‘students were polite, interested and proud of their school’; they complimented the students’ artwork and their interest in Citizenship and History.  They shared their experience of visiting Auschwitz and why this is important was discussed with the students and some students even got the chance to have a selfie taken!
